Finding a synagogue is about more than location. The right fit depends on the community, the style of worship, and the movement, or denomination, a congregation belongs to. Most American synagogues fall into one of a few major movements, and knowing the differences makes it much easier to find a home that feels right.

The Major American Movements

Reform

Conservative
